THACKLEY have notched only their second win of the season in the Flexible Football West Riding County FA Under-21 Floodlit League.

Jordan Hines was the Dennyboys' hero at Ossett Albion, putting them ahead in the second minute and making it 2-0 after good work from Joe Storey.

Albion levelled but then Hines scrambled home the winner for his hat-trick in the final minute.

Brighouse Town bounced back from two disappointing displays with a 2-0 win at Knaresborough Town.

The visitors showed better energy and found more space but they had to survive a soft penalty, which was saved by Ben Parkinson.

Typical of football, Brig went up the other end and scored, with Warren Hildred side-footing home after great work by Matt Airey.

Callum Joyce then converted a penalty after Ash Muncaster was brought down. but the second half rather petered out, with defences dominant.

Brighouse were also on form in the first half at Ossett Town, leading 3-0 at the interval via Muncaster, the influential Tom Robinson and Joe Grimley.

The second half was a different story, however, as the visitors tired, also suffering serious injuries to Joyce (ligament damage) and keeper Alex Firth (eye), meaning that Robinson had to go in goal.

Two less serious ankle injuries also took their toll, and although Ossett scored, they never really looked like winning.

In the Northern Alliance Under-19 League, Bradford Park Avenue remained bottom of the table after a 4-0 home defeat to Ossett Albion.

Avenue manager Alex Meechan said: "It was a tough game, and in possession we struggled and were punished by our basic defensive errors.

"At the other end of the pitch, we missed two good chances", and he added: "We lacked a cutting edge and, although we worked hard, we struggled to match Ossett."

Despite leading at half-time, Eccleshill United lost 3-1 to Huddersfield YMCA.

After a slow start, Eccleshill took the lead on the 15th minute, with Kevin Pedro reacting quickest after Alex Harrington-Tempest had saved well from Storey.

Harrington-Tempest then denied Storey too keep it at 1-0, and YMCA went on to win with goals by Jack Wilde, Eddie Church and Brandon Silverwood, who scored from a rebound after his penalty had been saved.
