LIVERSEDGE player Craig Billington has taken to social media to confirm that he is on the mend after suffering a seizure while playing against Hall Road Rangers on Monday night.

He was substituted after the incident on 78 minutes and his condition deteriorated further in the dugout, leaving no option but to abandon the match, which was deadlocked at 3-3 at the time.

Billington thanked everyone for their support in the aftermath, and he posted on Twitter: "Hi all, thank you for the tweets and texts and concern. Just letting you know. I had a seizure while playing and as I’ve come off it’s got worse.

"Thankfully all @Liversedge_FC and the lad @HRRFC helped out a lot and then of course the paramedics. Feeling tired and (have a) headache this morning so hopefully no knock on effects.

"Again thank you for all the tweets and texts of well wishes and I’ll be back playing soon!"
