BRIGHOUSE Town have parted company with striker Waide Fairhurst, who has joined Sheffield FC.
Fairhurst joined the club in January and scored two crucial goals for the side. One in a 2-0 win against Trafford and the other in a thrilling 3-3 home draw with Bamber Bridge.
However, he has now decided to join Sheffield, where he will team up with former Town players Rob Worrell and Harley Wigley.
Fairhurst is not the first player to leave Brighouse this week. Youngsters Harry Stead and Callum Robinson have also moved on from the struggling Evo-Stik North side.
Brighouse currently sit second-bottom of the league but with only one relegation place this year, they look likely to survive the drop at the expense of Goole AFC, who are seven points behind them.
