SUNDAY Alliance Division One side Tyersal FC could claim top spot this weekend with two victories.

The second-placed team travel to Wrose Bull tonight before facing FC Queensbury on Sunday and victories in both ties, as well as a slip-up from top side Beldon Oddies, would wipe the five-point gap currently separating the sides.

In Sunday’s match, Queensbury can move above Shoulder of Mutton into seventh, should they win and Mutton fail to beat Clayton Village S&S FC.

In the Premier Division, Ventus United meet Lyceum FC for the second time in a week on Sunday.

Ventus ran out 6-2 winners last weekend, but they were the club’s first points since drawing 4-4 with Thornbury Celtic in October. Lyceum are in better form having taken five points from as many games.

West Bowling are also in action in the top tier with two games. The side face Olympic FC tonight before meeting rivals Oakenshaw on Sunday.

West Bowling lost 6-3 to Thornbury last time out but previous to that, the club won three in a row, including a tie against Oakenshaw.

In Division Three, top side AFC Bingley will be aiming to extend their nine-match unbeaten run when they travel to Westleigh Wizards on Sunday. A win for the club would be their ninth in 10 games.
