Promotion-seeking Eccleshill United are gearing up for a winner-takes-all clash at home to Yorkshire Amateur tonight.

A big crowd is expected as the Eagles seek the victory that would see them go up from Division One of the Northern Counties East League.

Their Leeds-based visitors are currently second above Sean Regan’s men on goal difference.

With just one game to play, the winner will grab the runners-up spot and promotion.

However, should they draw, fourth-placed Grimsby Borough would snatch second spot with a home win over struggling East Yorkshire Carnegie in a game which also takes place tonight.

The away side go into the game off the back of a storming 6-1 win at home against East Yorkshire Carnegie, with the Eagles' last outing seeing them hand out a 9-0 drubbing at home to FC Bolsover.

Eccleshill have failed to beat Amateur on two occasions already this season. The opening game of the season saw the two sides battle out a thrilling 3-3 clash in a game that Eccleshill felt hard done by, having dominated the majority of the game. But Yorkshire then sent the Eagles packing in the cup later on in the season in a fixture that they dominated.

The visitors boast one of the best attacks in the NCEL, with Ashley Flynn sitting proudly at the top of the league's scoring charts.

However, Sam Bradley will be confident his back four can calm that storm.

Eagles have their own hot-shot in Luke Harrop, who is coming into the game off the back of a four-goal haul against Bolsover. He is up there in the top-scorer standings, as is talismanic midfielder Jonny Irving.

Eccleshill will be continuing their offer to Bradford City season ticket holders, who are guaranteed free entry providing they have their ticket with them.
