Lowly Second Division side Long Lee put in a gutsy performance in their Craven League Wynn Cup tie at Cullingworth.

Long Lee won the toss and made 181-8, with Mark Day getting a stylish 75 and Richard Ayrton a brutal 40 not out as Luke Taylor took 3-43 off his 12 overs.

The Roydwood Terrace side then cantered to the semi- finals with 182-4.

Steve Welch anchored the innings with 68 not out and was helped by Josh Evans, who made 67 not out off 50 balls, 110 runs coming in only 14 overs after the opening bowlers had completed their stints.

Oakworth, at home to Cononley, were without several members of their squad, who were playing in the under-17 junior final at Skipton.

In a match reduced to 30 overs per side, the Wide Laners plundered 181-7, with Brannan Lawn top-scoring with 36, Jack Hainsworth making 31 and Michael Scarborough 25.

The South Craveners undaunted by their opponents' calibre, had a real go at reaching their target and fell 12 runs short at the end of their overs.

Andy Starkey (39) and Charles Calvert (36) were the main contributors, helped by Herbie Starkey and Joel Granger with 23 apiece.

There was no play possible in the other two games.

The third round line-up is now known for the Cowling Cup after the last two games of the second round were completed.

Bradford & Bingley III welcomed Wilsden II to their new set-up, and a tense game ensued.

The hosts went first and were knocked over for a modest 76. Ben Crispin (19) was the highest scorer as Rob Greenwood took 4-23 and Ben Jagger 3-3 off five overs.

The Shay Gate side lost six wickets in reaching their target as Greenwood and Shahid Mahmood made 20 apiece.

Sandy Lane II saw off Cullingworth II by 88 runs at Greenwood Park.
