Bradford & Bingley sealed their place in the semi-finals of the JCT600 Bradford League's Sovereign Health Care Priestley Shield yesterday with a three-wicket win over Great Horton, with two balls to spare.
They chased down a Great Horton score of 185-8, thanks to a fine 53 from Patrick Dixon and valuable contributions from veteran Richard McCarthy (46), Waj Ali (36no) and Robert Dunn (34).
Great Horton’s total owed much to the efforts of Zabir Ashraf (62) and Ijaz Ahmed (33no) as Richard Slater took 3-29.
