Sajid Mahmood of Hallfield took 7-28 in just nine overs to help his side to a 19-run win over Cambing in the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's Sir James Roberts Cup.

Hallfield batted first and made 148, with Zafar Iqbal scoring 40 and Shakeel Arshad taking 4-43. Cambing were then all out for 129.

VVS Laxmans reached the semi-final in their first season in the league after a two-run victory over Yorkshire LPS.

Batting first, Laxmans made 75, with Mehul Patel claiming 5-11, but 4-27 from Sajid Ali helped to restrict LPS to 73.

Holders Salem Athletic defeated Odsal by 103 runs fter Umar Khetab scored 44 in their 174 all out, Paul Cuthbertson bagging 4-39. In reply, Odsal were all out for 71.

In a match switched at the last moment to Rawdon Meadows, Great Horton Church completed the last-four line-up after they defeated Heaton by 56 runs.

But it could have been a different story. Church were all out for 126, and Heaton were 65-4 and looking good for victory until a devastating spell of 5-20 from Umar Masood helped dismiss Heaton for 70.
