Another weather-affected week saw just four matches start in the Mutual Sunday School League and only three finish.

In Group B, Girlington move up to third in the table after their win over Mayfield, but only just.

Mayfield made 157-9 in a match reduced to 32 overs, James Batley top-scoring with 166 not out and Abdul Rehman taking 4-53.

When Girlington batted, rain interfered again and they had ten more overs deducted, leaving them with just 22. But after 20 overs and five balls they managed to pass the Mayfield score for the loss of five wickets, Tariq Rashid making 39 not out.

Yorkshire LPS’s match against Interlink was reduced to 24 overs. LPS batting first made 85-8 but rain intervened again with Interlink on 38-0 and the umpires abandoned the match.

In Group C, only the Bradford Indians v Cross Roads & Daisy Hill match survived the weather.

The match turned into the Viney Chauhan show. First he scored 95 in the Indians’ 153 all out and then he took 6-24 as Daisy were all out for 124.

Earlier, Byron Greenwood had taken 5-52 for Daisy.

This win means Indians move up to fourth in the table.

In Group D, Hallfield moved to the top of the table thanks to all the other matches being abandoned.

Allerton batted first and made 64 all out, Hallfield then passing the score for the loss of five wickets to gain maximum points.
