Yorkshire have pulled off a major coup by re-signing Jacques Rudolph in a bid to save their season.

The 30-year-old South African returns to the club as an overseas player for the last six LV= County Championship matches, starting with the Roses clash against Lancashire at Headingley starting on Wednesday, July 20.

Rudolph spent four seasons as a Kolpak player with the White Rose county between 2007 and 2010, amassing over 5,000 first-class runs.

The prolific left-hander is currently captaining South Africa A on their tour of Zimbabwe.

Yorkshire, due to play Leicestershire in the Friends Life t20 competition tonight, currently lie second from bottom in the Championship table.
