The Mewies Solicitors Craven League have decided there will be no penalty runs awarded for a second offence against a batsman or fielders running down the wicket.
With umpires in the bottom three divisions not being selected from the panel, it was decided that the possibility of confrontations was too great.
However, umpires will still be allowed to warn players and to report persistent offenders to the league.
This issue was the subject of a vote and 26 were in favour and one against.
Penalty runs will still be awarded if the ball hits a discarded helmet or clothing or a player returns to the field of play without permission.
Each team should receive a copy of the MCC rules (£3 each) before the start of the season.
