An unbeaten 75 from Sam Atkinson steered Otley to victory over Pool and booked them a place in the final of the Waddilove Cup, a competition they have not won since 1988.

Chasing Pool's modest 163, Otley got home with five wickets and five overs to spare after Sam Smith (49) had built the foundation.

They will now face Bilton, winners of the trophy for the last two years, at Pool on August 6.

The most eye-catching league results came in Division C, with none more impressive than Skipton's five-wicket triumph at Alwoodley which lifts them off the bottom of the table for the first time this season.

Andrew Fergie's 15-over spell of five for 53 helped dismiss the home side for 194 and Steve Carling then led the way with a sparkling 78, well supported by brothers Kevin (38) and Gary (33) Owens, to clinch Skipton's second win in three games.

Ben Rhydding take over the bottom spot after promotion-chasing Colton inflicted their sixth defeat in seven matches, while Menston are too close to the re-election zone for comfort after they were beaten by Bolton Villas.

Despite good knocks from Chris Sowden (52) and Anthony Thornton (41), Menston were restricted to 190 for nine, with Sam Lawrence taking four of their wickets and Richard Slater returning three for 29. Skipper Steve Wilson (80) and Steve Shuttleworth (53) responded as Villas clinched their second win of the season.

Ilkley have not given up hope of climbing back into the promotion spots and Craig Rackham's 147, which included 21 fours and five sixes, was the highlight of their 174-run thrashing of Woodhouse, although they are still 13 points behind the leaders.

Defiant knocks by Daryl Robinson (42) and Mark Taylor (43) helped Addingham take a point off leaders Illingworth, which allowed Harden to draw level on points at the summit after they put a dent in New Rover's hopes of getting into the top two.

Aussie Tim Clarke took six wickets as New Rover were bowled out for 232 and a second successive half-century from Rob Verity was the mainstay as Harden clinched a five-wicket win with five overs to go.

Silsden's hopes of claiming one of the two promotion places from Division B were damaged when they went down to a seven-wicket defeat at Hall Park.

Managing to only set a target of 184, Silsden saw their attack ripped apart by opener Tom Evans, who crashed 21 boundaries in his unbeaten 109. It ended Silsden's five-match winning streak and means Park have taken 11 precious points off them this season.

With Beckwithshaw overcoming Upper Wharfedale by seven wickets and Collingham making short work of Knaresborough, Silsden are now nine points off the pace.

Calverley continue to improve, Ben Platt's 78 the highlight of their 205 for six which gave them victory at Olicanian. Simon Lewis (63) had earlier top-scored for the home side.

Horsforth climbed out of the bottom two with their comfortable win at Thackley, who are now five points adrift of Knaresborough in the relegation zone.

Chris Spivey, batting at ten, was the only Thackley batsman to show any resistance, having already taken five wickets in Horsforth's innings of 223. But star of the show was the visitors' Juji Janardhanan, who followed up a knock of 62 with four cheap wickets.

Adam Waite scored 84 of Guiseley's 170 for nine but their bowling struggled and Bardsey cruised to a seven-wicket win in just 26 overs. Meanwhile, Steeton improved their position at the top of Division A with a comfortable win over bottom club Tong Park, who already look doomed to relegation.

Rawdon are in grave danger of joining them having managed just one point against Green Lane, for whom Rohan Obst took seven for 37 including a hat-trick and Oliver Halliday scored 78.

Otley's weekend had not started so well as they were outplayed by Burley, whose 234 was their highest score of the season and included 64 from Jamie Davey and 51 by Ben Harris.

Gary Thompson scored an unbeaten half-century as Otley hung on for a point but their consolation came in the cup the following day.
