It's tight at the top of Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's Group A as nine points separate the top four teams with only four weeks to go.

Cambing still lead the way but their advantage is down to six points after they suffered defeat at the hands of Heaton, who move up to third.

Cambing were dismissed for 129, Arif Hussain being the pick of the Heaton bowlers with 4-47.

In reply, a century partnership by Kamran Mir (68 not out) and Matloob Hussain (50 not out) saw Heaton home by eight wickets.

This enabled BPR to close the gap to just six points after they defeated Yorkshire LPS by 105 runs.

Mohammed Qaderr hit 57 in BPR's 217-5, Umesh Patel taking 5-55 for LPS, who were then all out for 112.

Bradford Gymkhana A drop to fourth after they were held to a draw by Omars.

Gymkhana A made an impressive 233-9, Rahil Butt top- scoring with 59 not out, Omars replying with 194-8, Asad Abbas hitting 51 and Umar Maharoof 41.

In the clash between the bottom two teams, Bradford Gymkhana B defeated Muff Field by seven wickets in a match where wickets were hard to come by, both sides losing only three.

Muff Field made 203-3 in their 40 overs, Frank Powell making 75 not out, Steven Broadbent 46 and Mohammed Bismillah 58 not out.

But Gymkhana B passed that total, Sohail Javed making 78 not out and Ghulam Rasool 62 in a game where there were century partnerships for both sides.

In Group B, the top two moved even further away from the rest of the pack as Hallfield and Heaton B won again.

Hallfield had an easy nine-wicket victory over Buttershaw St Paul's, Aseem Khan taking 4-11, while Heaton had a one-wicket victory over Mayfield.

As the two teams meet in two weeks' time, it could be a winner-takes-all battle for the title.

Elsewhere in the division, there were wins for Mandhata and Odsal Phoenix.

Mandhata made 235-6 against Great Horton Meths, Peyush Patel scoring 79, Pritesh Patel 61 not out and Dilan Patel 60, John Bond claiming 5-56.

Meths were then all out for 92, with Dipen Patel taking 4-22 and Peyush 5-12 to add to his earlier runs.

Joe Deakin took 6-13 as Cross Roads & Daisy Hill Metsh were all out for 45, Odsal passing the total with two wickets down.

In Group C, Bowling Baptist, who clinched promotion last week, suffered a surprise defeat to Cambing, who made 197-8, Jonaid Khan top-scoring with 70 as Ghazanfar Bashir took 4-34.

Bowling then fell 21 runs short as Ankur Verma took 5-59 and Pravar Agrawal 4-51.

Second-placed West Bowling narrowed the gap at the top to eight points after defeating Central YMCA by six wickets, Mohammed Rafiq claiming 7-15, including a hat-trick, for West Bowlng.

Mayfield defeated Mufff Field by four wickets. Stuart Morrison top scored for Muff Field with 48 as they were all out for 136, Jason Ramsden taking 6-54.

Mayfield reached their target with six wickets down, Gene Cullearn making 40.

Bradford Indians are still third in the table after defeating Cross Roads & Daisy Hill Meths.

Indians were all out for 185, Kapil Chohan making 52 and Stewart Roberts taking 4-27. Daisy were then all out for 74.
