Nick Brook was the Burley hero, taking seven wickets for 19 runs off 15 overs to dismiss Adel for 84 and set up an eight-wicket win that keeps them top of Aire-Wharfe League Division One.

There was more outstanding bowling by Ben Lister (6-24) as Otley skittled out Thackley for 75 on the way to a six-wicket win.

The visitors’ score would have been even worse but for a defiant, unbeaten 25 from No 10 batsman Nasser Jamal.

Guiseley dented Green Lane’s title hopes, Charlie Best (72) and Ian Chaplin (59no) seeing them to 201-5 and Abid Awan’s second successive five-wicket haul restricting Lane to 176-9 and two points despite the efforts of Ishtikar Hussain (59).

Calum Goldthorp hit a half century as Rawdon overcame Kirkstall Educational by eight wickets, sweet revenge for their Waddilove Cup defeat six days before.

Addingham must be one of the most enjoyable places to play cricket at the moment.

At the start of the second half of last season, they had two points, were bottom of the Third Division and were bowled out for 53 by Bolton Villas, an improvement from the opening day when the same side had dismissed them for 28.

This season they are up to eighth place with 29 points and have just knocked a huge dent in fourth-placed Colton’s hopes of promotion.

Richard Hey produced his third four-wicket spell as Colton were dismissed for just 151 and Andy Murray led the way with 47 as Addingham got home with three wickets to spare.

That defeat puts Colton 16 points behind leaders Ilkley, who are still a point ahead of Ben Rhydding after both sides won.

Ilkley had the tougher task against third-placed Menston, who set a target of 174, in which Adam Campion hit 67. The home side looked well on target when Rory Kroon and Nick Cockcroft put on 90 for the first wicket but wickets then started to tumble and it took a battling stand of 25 between Richard Harrison and Paul Dover to clinch the two-wicket win.

Charlie Swallow (94no) and Nick Smith, who hit 103 in 90 balls, shared an unbeaten stand of 175 as Ben Rhydding cruised to 231-3 before Smith took charge again with figures of 5-36 as Skipton were dismissed for 146.

There was more big hitting from Chris Binks (53no) and Ollie Hardaker (96no) as Horsforth eased past Alwoodley’s 153 without loss but Hall Park went down by 117 runs to New Rover, despite Ben Waller taking five wickets.

Harden slipped ten points behind Division Two leaders Bilton when they were bowled out for 132 and Follifoot knocked them off for the loss of only one wicket. The leaders, meanwhile, were piling up 245-8 at Tong Park Esholt, Nadeem Hanif and Fawad Maqsood taking four wickets each, and Park managed to keep three wickets intact to pick up a point.

Olicanian moved to only five points behind Harden after a stunning spell of 8-94 by Bernard Hughes dismissed Knaresborough for 203 chasing the home side’s 233-8, in which Ian Thomas hit 78 and Craig Thornton 55.

Andrew Luxton (65no) helped Steeton pass Bolton Villas’ 120 despite the efforts of Sam Lawrence (5-65), and Gareth Lee followed up a 4-30 spell with a top score of 44no as Calverley beat Silsden by eight wickets and dumped them back at the bottom of the table.
