Baildon visited New Wortley in Division A of the Dales Council League, with Mubasher Khan (85no) and Kash Malik (53no) taking the score to 230-6, but New Wortley won with three wickets remaining, Rashid Khan scoring 92 and Usman Rasool 55.

Farnley Hill returned to winning ways by beating Crompark in A. They posted 182, with Crompark all out for 103 in reply.

Hepworth Idle visited Halifax Direct and fought back from 94-6 to finish on 228, although Halifax went on to surpass the total.

Shipley Providence put on 239, with Adrian Lazenby (51) and Tom Hawksworth (46) contributing, as Steve Hirst took 5-36. He then scored 52, which, along with Gary Sagar (103) and Stuart Kirk (70no), saw them home for the loss of just two wickets.

In Division B, Dave McDermott put Drighlington to the sword, taking 5-27 for Hepworth Idle B to reduce them to 112 as they won by nine wickets (Malcolm Kershaw 47no).

Savile Stars were also nine-wicket winners over Shipley Providence B (126).

Farsley’s Richard (61no) and Ross Monaghan (57) saw Farsley to 207-9, which Cook-ridge failed to match with 188.

Hyde Park made hay at Tong Park Esholt, scoring 331-9, with Kashif Rehman plundering 129. Tong Park replied with 133.

In Division C East, Baildon B (217-9) had a convincing win over Pudsey St Lawrence B (92). Ebrahim Bismillah whacked 142 for Mount B in their win over Whitehall, who were bowled out for 142 chasing 361 to win.

Meanwood continued their winning streak in Division C West, beating Baildon C, who could only score 58 in reply to Meanwood’s 156. Crompark B had a four-wicket win over bottom side Old Mods and, in Sunday’s match, Baildon B posted another 20-point win, their 240-8 being too much for Pudsey Congs B (104) to handle. Star man was Paul Johnstone, who blasted a brilliant 142.

* In the semi-finals of the Cawthorne Cup, Meanwood beat Leeds Sikh and Tong Manor beat Mount, while in the Pool Paper Mills Cup, Leeds Sikh beat Tong Park Esholt and Mount beat Pudsey Congs, to set up a repeat of last year’s final.
