Craven League Division One leaders Bradley encountered few problems when they entertained Ingrow.

The visitors were restricted to 88-9 in their innings. Mark Price retired hurt on 28 after deflecting the ball off his shoulder into his face. The ensuing cut needed eight stitches but the player was okay to return to the field, only to find his side were all out. James Hesletine took 4-8 off 22 balls.

Craig Tempest made 39 not out as the home side got home for the loss of three wickets.

Embsay and Cullingworth had their usual close encounter at Shires Lane.

Haroon Ali scored 51, Rob Bateman 47 and No 9 Aslam Hussein 35 not out as the innings closed on 194-9. Chris Welch finished with 4-63.

In reply, Cullingworth got home by three wickets with nine balls to spare. Top scorer Adie Powis (40no) was crucially dropped when ten runs were needed. Haworth Road put a dent in Crossflatts’ chances of taking the title as they won by 78 runs.

Waj Mahmood made 98 not out as the Baildon Bottom side reached 176-8. Then Mansha Khan took 7-27 to shoot the visitors out for 98.

Oakworth entertained Bingley Congs and scored 171, Robert Hopkinson hitting 54.

The reply can only be described as staggering. The Beckfoot side scorched to a nine-wicket victory in just 19.4 overs. Copping led the way with a blistering 81 off 39 balls, which included 11 fours and five sixes.

Then his replacement, Lee Poppleton, continued the carnage as he smote 66 not out off 34 balls, which included five fours and six sixes.

Cononley remained rooted to the foot of the table after a defeat at Cowling.

Chasing 194 to win, Cowling’s Steve Richardson scored 104 and Mike Dudley 41 in an opening stand of 168. The points were seized for the loss of two wickets.

Division Two leaders Thornton enjoyed a 115-run victory over third-placed Chatburn.

The Booth Bridge Lane side went first and smashed 296-5. Kev Pollard (86) and Rob Foster (87) put on 137 for the first wicket, then Jason Lockley (44no) got to work on the Chatburn.

Marc Laycock claimed 6-72 as Chatburn were all out for 181 in reply.

Second-placed Barrowford were at Haworth WE and dismissed them for 172 as Owen Palmer top scored with 54. Liam Roberts (81no) was the star of the Bull Holme side’s 176-3.

Ingrow St John’s are now seven points adrift at the bottom after going down by three wickets to Long Lee at Street Lane.

M Mansha made 40 as the Saints posted 152, Matt Taylor taking 6-31.

In reply, Paul Stowell stood firm with the bat getting 60 before a cameo knock of 26 not out by James Wilkinson got them to the winning post.

Airedale are now the sole leaders of Division Three after they beat Oakworth II convincingly and Gargrave lost.

Nadeem Zaman (40) and Alec Pue (35) helped the leaders to 171-8. The Cure Hill side were shot out for 59, with Zaman taking 4-14 off nine overs.

Gargrave were at home to third-placed Embsay II, who batted first and rattled up 187-5. In reply, the homesters made 159, Lee Barrett leading the way with 54 as Waris Kamal took 5-58.

Eldwick & Gilstead’s early-season form has deserted them and they slumped to a two wicket defeat at the hands of bottom side Haworth Road II.

Denholme’s Adam Taylor with 6-33 and 60 had a solid game at Cononley II, the winning margin being two wickets.

Ingrow St John’s II took advantage of numerous dropped catches and some poor ground fielding to smash a mammoth 285-7 up at Long Lee II, who were dismissed for 98 in reply.

Division Four leaders Crossflatts II were in good form at home to Wilsden II. Darren Mason took 5-21 as the Wilsden were shot out for 61. The homesters lost two wickets reaching their target.

Cullingworth, in second place were struggling at 129-8 before Martin Rendell and C Todd got going.

They added 107 for the ninth wicket, with Rendell perishing for 99 as the innings closed on 236.

Visitors Chatburn replied with 185-9, Mark Nuremberg scoring 60 and Damian Gupta 41 as George Fletcher claimed 4-39.

The usually free scoring batsmen of Sutton II were in poor nick at Sandy Lane II as the side could only make 142. The experienced David Holdsworth made a fighting 74 not out as Paul Sutcliffe took 4-41 and C Dunne 4-40.

The home side had to battle to the end to snatch the points by one wicket with just two balls left. I Ali made 33 and A Grace 32 not out as Tony Walton and Colin Ridehalgh took three wickets each.

Little Marsden just managed to cling on to their unbeaten record at the top of Division Five.

At home to Gargrave they made 164-8 in their overs, with A Ahmed top-scoring with 35 as H Thompson took 4-56. In reply, Gargrave II were 159-7 with Tim Spensley on 62 not out. In stepped Darren Greenwood to wrap up the tail without addition, and finish with 5-44, and the points went to the leaders by five runs.
