Having reduced the gap between themselves and DIVISION ONE leaders Burley to just three points, Green Lane have the chance to take top spot when the sides meet in the Aire-Wharfe League on Saturday.

After starting the campaign with two draws, Lane have won all but one match since – including their two most recent victories against fellow title contenders Beckwithshaw and Kirkstall Educational.

A third such win would see them head the table at the season’s halfway point and with Joe Pleasance, Yasser Ali and Michael Abbott all showing good recent form with the bat, they must be in with a good chance.

Visiting Burley, in contrast, have drawn two of their last three games but they also have batsmen in form and the distribution of points could well depend on the toss.

Rawdon should continue their climb away from the basement when they visit Pool but Otley may have to settle for a draw at home to Collingham, while Guiseley will do well to take anything from Kirkstall.

Silsden climbed off the bottom of DIVISION TWO last weekend but face a tough match at home to current leaders Bilton, while fellow strugglers Calverley visit Steeton.

Harden need a win over Bolton Villas to keep the pressure on the leaders but their visitors have shown better form in recent weeks and are unbeaten in their last four starts.

Olicanian entertain in-form Follifoot, with Tong Park Esholt at home to Illingworth.

Ben Rhydding have what should be a comfortable home win against Bardsey and could reclaim second spot in DIVISION THREE after losing it to Menston last week.

Menston face a much tougher challenge at Colton, who have recovered from a blip to be back among the promotion hopefuls.

All of them are chasing Ilkley, who entertain Skipton – a side struggling to match the top teams so far.

Addingham’s improved season should get another lift at struggling Horsforth but Hall Park will need to be at their best if they are to win at Woodhouse.

Sunday sees the quarter-finals of the WADDILOVE CUP, with the pick of the ties the clash between Division Two front-runners Harden and Bilton.

Burley and Green Lane should be too strong for lower division opposition Knaresborough and Menston, while Rawdon host an intriguing tie with Kirkstall.
