Leeds Sikh and Mount have teams in the semi-finals of the Pool Paper Mills and Cawthorne cups.

Tong Park Esholt and Pudsey Congs will also be in Thursday’s semi-final draw for the Pool Paper Mills, with Meanwood and Tong Manor in the hat for the Cawthorne Cup draw.

Sunday’s cup match at Baildon saw a dubious record, when batsmen nine and ten scored 147 – only it wasn’t runs, it was their total ages.

In Saturday’s Dales Council League fixtures, Mount claimed top spot with maximum points after demolishing Baildon, who were shot out for 60 chasing 193 to win.

More than 500 runs were scored when Farnley Hill visited Hepworth Idle.

With ten overs to go, Farnley Hill were on 151 but they ended on 254 for eight after Gary Beaumont had peppered the boundary with numerous sixes, ending on 96 not out.

Hepworth’s Danny Bailey (50), Anthony Heaton (47) and Phil Drake (47) did well for Idle, but they fell 17 runs short of victory.

Leeds Sikh now occupy third place after beating Hawksworth while Rodley are beginning to show form after Simon Dickens took five for 36 in their win over Halifax Direct.

Bottom of the table Pudsey Congs managed 140 in reply to Crompark’s 178 for six, with Stuart Jones (41) and Jason Whitaker (47) contributing.

Richard Taylor took five for 33 in New Wortley’s 83 all out after Shipley Providence had posted 116.

In Division B, the league are to investigate the match at Pudsey St Lawrence after the Dewsbury side left the field in the second innings.

In the other matches, Adel continued their winning run by beating Cookridge (172-8) by three wickets.

Rodley B couldn’t match Drighlington’s 206 for eight after Allan Mitchell (50) and Aidan Dunne (51) put on 83 together before Dean Heyhoe took four for 29 in reducing Rodley to 183 for eight.

Adnan Taj did the double act for Hyde Park, scoring 63 in their total of 255 for nine before taking five for 25 in Shipley’s reply of 87. Tong Park Esholt fell five runs short at New Farnley chasing 112 for seven.

In Division C, Tong Manor continued their unbeaten run in beating Baildon B (134), with Andrew Keegan taking five for 41, then David Rule posting 51 not out in Tong’s total of 136 for six.

Whitehall prop up the east division table after losing to Pudsey Congs B. In the west division, Baildon C, chasing 119 at Wibsey Park Chapel, lost eight wickets in their total of 121. Zain Iodhi scored 50 for Wibsey and Barry Foster, with five for 47 for Baildon, took his league tally of wickets to 1,150.

Undercliffe had a welcome win, beating Crompark B by nine wickets.
