Windhill Warriors have retained the Joan Peel Trophy.
They defeated hosts Undercliffe Outlaws in the final of the Carlsberg Twenty20 tournament last night - a match that had been delayed for a week by rain.
A large crowd witnessed some hard-hitting boundaries and excellent shot selection, particularly in the two power-plays, by the well-matched sides.
The Outlaws scored a competitive 178 for seven, Narwaz Sardar top-scoring with 62, but the Warriors, despite losing three wickets in the 16th over with three needed, won by two wickets, with Chris Thompson 74 not out.
