Dave Maloney impressed with bat and ball as Shelf got the better of fellow high-fliers King Cross in Division Three of the Towergate Halifax League.
The loss of opener Dan Dunkerley in the first over prompted Maloney to promote himself up the order and he blasted a quickfire 76.
Steve Priestley (79) and opener Andy Dimbleby (62) helped post a final total of 284 for nine, before tight bowling from Joel Metcalfe and Rob Ramsden soon left King Cross behind schedule.
Dunkerley replaced Metcalfe and soon got among the wickets, taking four for 50, while Maloney (2-26) chipped in to restrict King Cross to 180 for seven.
Alex O’Keefe (51) steered Shelf Seconds to 188 but they lost their unbeaten tag as visiting Southowram won by three wickets.
