Hepworth & Idle lost top spot in DIVISION A of the Dales Council League as they were brushed aside by Mount.

Centuries from Imran Patel and Usama Sacha boosted Mount to 300 for four and Hepworth could only muster 170 in reply, stand-in wicketkeeper Se an McEvoy contributing 61.

Farnley Hill took over at the summit after Richard Bedford’s 148 helped them to 310 for seven, before Shipley Providence were restricted to 154 (Jonathan Thompson 64).

Struggling Baildon registered their first 20-point win by scoring 207 for nine at Pudsey Congs and then destroying the hosts for 99 thanks to Daniel Metcalfe (5-40).

Defending champions Rodley lost again, this time to New Wortley as the last pair edged past a target of 198. Hawksworth reached 202 (Junaish Kizzakhhe 65, Suposh Malhotra 55) but Crompark passed this target with two wickets in hand as Dave Robinson made a key 52.

Halifax Direct suffered a ten-wicket drubbing at Leeds Sikh after making only 69.

Hepworth & Idle Seconds gained a 20-point win over New Farnley in DIVISION B as half-centuries by Dave McDermott, Phil Haigh and Maurice Chilton set a total of 283 for seven, before Danny Wilkins (5-22) skittled their rivals for 125.

Savile Stars now top the table after beating Drighlington in a low-scoring match at Dewsbury.

Promoted Hyde Park occupy second place after overwhelming Rodley B, posting 246 for nine (Janghir Gulzar 70no, Adnan Taj 54, Mozam Inamdar 51), before rolling over their opponents for 156. Shipley Providence B were no match for Farsley, who lost just two wickets before passing a modest 81-run target, while Tong Park Esholt could make only 126 in reply to relegated Adel’s 235 for seven.

Baildon B’s 154 for eight was more than enough to beat Cookridge in DIVISION C, with skipper Gary Orrell’s four for 11 finishing the job.

Baildon C (102-5) notched up another win by beating Old Mods (99) thanks to Barry Foster’s five for 38. Undercliffe (84) were no match for leaders Meanwood, who lost just one wicket in reply, and second-placed Leeds Sikh B (204-9) easily overcame Wibsey Park Chapel (114), while Crompark B lost by 15 runs to Cookridge C.
