Shelf opened their Halifax League campaign with a four-wicket victory over relegated Bridgeholme.
New boy Dan Dunkersley returned six for 51 as Bridgeholme were reduced from 40 without loss to 169 all out, Dave Maloney and Jack Wilson taking two wickets apiece.
Shelf made a poor start in reply, losing their top three batsmen for 28, but a stand of 65 between Steve Priestley (59) and Jonny Marshall (24) put them back in command and new signing David Boulton (35no) finished the job.
Shelf Seconds made a flying start by amassing 274 for seven (Leigh Butterfield 70, Craig Green 59) at Oxenhope, who finished 30 runs short while losing eight wickets.
