The JCT600 Bradford League made a deficit of £2,093 on the year ended September 30, 2007.
"Without the £5,000 sponsorship from JCT600, we could not survive," confessed league treasurer David Young at their annual meeting at Pudsey Congs.
Equally important is the £5,000 the league gets from Sovereign Health Care for the Priestley Cup (£4,000) and Priestley Shield (£1,000), and of growing value is the league's website, which made a surplus of £833.
However, Young added: "The dinner made a loss of £700 last year and we cannot afford to keep on doing that."
The league donated £200 to the Martin House Hospice from collections made at cup finals and £750 to the Bradford Junior League.
