LEADERS Bingley Congs just held off Oakworth II to win by three runs in an exciting finish in Mewies Solicitors League Division Three.

Ben Nattrass (42) and Jamie Teale (41) helped Congs to 196 as Nick Staton took 4-47.

Oakworth had Bradley Powell (82) and Sajjad Razaq (48no) to thank for getting so close as Jonny Teale (4-48) and Towhid Ali (3-29) just held firm with 193-9.

Second-placed Skipton CI entertained Embsay II and shot them out for 126.

George Arkwright made 63 as Rob Cockell (5-23) and Azhar Iqbal (3-19) did the damage.

Skipton (127-0) romped home by 10 wickets with Cockell making (62no) and Sefal Allam (55no).

Bradley’s innings lasted just 19.5 overs as Silsden ran through them to have them back in the hut for 63.

Toby Meynell made 23 as Joe Sugden (5-24) and Kieran Lawrence (4-34) did all the damage.

The Keighley Road side lost one wicket reaching their target with Ben Sugden making 33no and Jack Roberts 29no.

Mohammed Gulnawaz (6-62 and 40) was the star of Riddlesden’s six-wicket victory over Thornton.

Thornton recorded 183 with Tom Cleaver making 46 and Mark Paxton 37. In addition to Gulnawaz, Akeel Rashid made 60no and Ibrar Ali 61no.

There was an unusual occurrence at Glusburn.

They made 206-6 at home to Hepworth & Idle II. Steve Brown reached 99 and Dom Mortimer (31no) as Don Wooller (4-52) did most of the damage.

In the Westfield Lane side's reply of 208-2, James Bentley was also out for 99 to go with Phillip Haigh’s (67no).

There was no play at Foulridge II as the ground was unfit.

In Division Four, Denholme are four points clear at the top after a 10-wicket victory over Sutton II.

The visitors were hustled out for 72 with Andy Fountain making 27 as Neil Spencer (5-11) and Josh Wheatley (3-11) got among the wickets.

Spencer opened Denholme's innings but, in going for a single, pulled up with an Achilles tendon injury.

He was carried from the field and later play was held up while an ambulance came onto the ground.

Tom Clough made 52no to take his side to the points.

Cowling II are second after they beat Ingrow II by six wickets. Ingrow were knocked over for 79 with Adie Weatherill (29) top scoring as Sajid Shafait claimed 6-20. Mike Dudley (24no) led the successful reply as Ryan Higgs took 3-20.

Bill Marshall (38), James Dennison (3-21) and Yvonne Baines (3-27) were the stars in Bingley Congs III's victory over Skipton CI. Jon Sharpe (29) and Vaqas Nawaz (3-27) tried hard for the Sandylanders.

Glusburn II's trip up the road to Gargrave proved to be fruitful as they came away with the spoils by 50 runs.

Craig Pullen (70no) was the backbone of his side's 127-7, then Zahid Iqbal (3-6) and Ajmal Choudhry (3-9) put the skids under the homesters.

Keighley III conceded their game with Airedale II being unable to raise a team.

Finally, Wilsden II enjoyed a 66-run win over Bradley II. The former side made 163-4 with Liquate Ali making a splendid 94no and Imran Khan (38).

Bradley replied with 103 with James Lampkin making 46no and Oliver Holdsworth taking 4-16.
