THE THREE fancied sides made it safely through to the Wynn Cup semi-finals without too much fuss.

Bingley Congs played Foulridge for the second day running, this time at Beckfoot Lane.

The Noyna visitors were restricted to 90 as skipper Neil Copping took 3-14 and Harry Greenhalgh 3-27. Openers Copping (47) and Johandre Barnard (27) put on 77 before Congs eased home by eight wickets.

Second Division Gargrave travelled to Crossflatts and had made 47 off four overs when Joe Wood was out for 14. The introduction of spin soon had the Skipton Road side in trouble as they slumped to 50-6.

A bit of tail-wagging got them to 86. John Beckwith (35) was the top scorer as Alex Bradbury claimed 4-14.

In reply Bright Njanji took advantage of being dropped in single figures to register 39no as he put on 60 for the third wicket with Kieran Temprell (37no) to see Crossflatts home by eight wickets.

Second Division Cononley, who knocked out the holders in the previous round, were unable to repeat the feat at Oakworth.

The South Craven side were restricted to 84-9. Harry Parker (23) and Tom Feather (22no) were the best batsmen as Harry Hollingsworth claimed 3-14.

In the Cure Hill side's reply Jordan Powell hit seven sixes in a belligerent knock of 54. He put on 70 for the first wicket with Jack Davison (20) and the whole innings lasted just 44 balls as Oaks romped home.

Crossflatts II entertain Ingrow on June 30.

*Oakworth II progressed to the third round of the Cowling Cup after winning at Gargrave II.

The Cure Hill side posted 133-6, with Bradley Powell (59) top scoring and Michael Scarborough joining in with 33 as James Ward took 3-15. Gargrave were always behind the black ball and replied with 93-9. Tom Vernon made 27 as Dave Picton took 3-33.

Division Three leaders Skipton CI entertained Silsden, who made 102-7. At one point they were 57-7 before Rob Jones (30no) and Kieran Lawrence (22no) rescued the innings.

The Sandylands side’s innings followed a similar pattern as they were reduced to 48-7. They could only take it to 89-7 as Darren Pighills (26no) and Rob Cockell (24) were the main run-getters. The best bowler was Lawrence who took 2-17.

Haworth II conceded their tie to Riddlesden.
