DIVISION Three leaders Skipton CI were in cracking form on their travels to Thornton.

They rattled up 209-8 in their overs led by skipper Martin Chisnall (53) and Rob Cockell and Sam Smith 39 apiece leading the way as Mark Laycock (4-66) and Ian Holden (3-42) were the best bowlers.

Only Kev Pollard (31) offered much resistance as the home side replied with 124 with Cockell (5-20) and Smith (3-35) doing most of the damage.

There was a fantastic feat of bowling down at Bingley Congs II where Foulridge were the visitors.

Steve Broughton performed the hat-trick, which went on to be four wickets in five balls, as he wiped out the tail to leave the Noyna side 49 all out. The Baildon Bottom side lost four wickets reaching their target.

Haworth II saw off Embsay II by 32 runs in a low-scoring match.

Danny Spencer and Matt Wooding both made 27 as Haworth reached 126. Casper Bean (3-25) and Simon Holt (3-33) were the main bowlers.

The Shires Laners perished for 92 with Steve Speak (31) leading the way as Charlie Shimmin (4-27), Darren Ellerton (3-7) and Spencer (3-31) claiming all the wickets.

Bradley chased down Glusburn’s 202-8 and won by three wickets with 16 balls to spare.

The Park Field side made a fine 202-8 with Steve Brown making 81 and Peter Schofield 42 as Vince Grant took 5-37.

The Matthew Lane side reached 203-7, thanks mainly to Ben Schindler (56) and Danny Smith (43) as Brown claimed 5-48.

Riddlesden entertained Silsden and went down by three wickets. Riddlesden posted 102 in 29.2 overs with Mohammad Gulnawaz making 21 as Joe Sugden took 4-36 and Kieran Lawrence 3-34.

Joe Roberts made 23 as the Keighley Road side stumbled to 64-7 before Tom Snowden (12no) and Richard Jones (20no) got their side over the line with an undefeated eighth-wicket partnership of 40.

Oakworth II, with six juniors in their side, put up a creditable performance when they entertained Hepworth & Idle II.

The Westfield Lane side posted 253-8, thanks to a superb 117 from Joe Allatt and 66 from Nigel Poustie. The pair put on 198 for the third wicket with Charlie Raby claiming 4-46.

The Cure Hill side replied with 215-5 in their overs. Michael Scarborough (64) and Steve Powell (57no) put on 99 for the fifth wicket.

Bingley Congs III and Denholme II are level on points at the top of Division Four with the former in first place on run rate.

The Beckfoot side travelled to Gargrave II and were shot out for 59 by Will Storr (7-26) and Rob Storr (3-5). Gargrave made heavy weather of their reply before No 8 Tom Vernon made 25no to see his side home by three wickets as Rob Stow claimed 5-27.

Meanwhile, Denholme II were indebted to a fine knock of 89no by skipper Chris Dennison which helped them make 132-7 off their 40 overs. In fact, Dennison was the only home player to make double figures and he figured in a stand of 82 for the fourth wicket with Katie Briggs (7).

Visitors Wilsden II were never in the hunt and were all out for 65 with Imran Khan (24) being the only player to reach double figure as Tim Shires claimed 4-29.

Cowling II just held off the challenge of Airedale II at Keighley Road, to win by just eight runs. The homesters made 153-9 with Mohammad Araf (47no) top scoring as Warren Coppack took 3-36.

The Bradford Road side made 145 with Saqib Javaid scoring 39 and Tim Crossley 31 as Aqib Chatta took 4-40.

Long Lee II took a bit of a hammering at Bradley II. They batted first and scored 106-8 with Tom Gill (39no) top scoring as Henry Meynell (3-15) was the best bowler. Visitors Bradley replied with 110-1 with Jonathan Sharpe (61no) and under-16 Lily Bell (36no) taking them to an impressive victory.

Oakworth III conceded to Glusburn II and Cononley conceded to Skipton CI II.
