DRIGHLINGTON ran rampage to a weekend high total in the Dales Council Cricket League to keep apace with the front-runners.

The Division A competitors hit 414-9 at home to Bradford Moor, while first and second-placed Woodhouse and Halifax Direct had their game abandoned.

This despite both of Drigh’s openers being knocked out for ducks when batting first.

Step forward Matty Waller (169 in 122 balls) and David Evans (115 in 64 balls) who came in next and racked up the lion’s share of their side’s total.

Moor’s Abid Hussain did his best to try halt the form of Drigh, taking 4-106

But, it wasn’t enough and his side’s 135 all out fell well short.

Elsewhere, Crompark just scraped past hosts Savile Stars who fell four runs short.

The visitors were 87 all-out, but the Stars could only muster 83 in reply as Crompark’s Syed Hashmi bowled 5-32.

Division B leaders Muff Field dropped to second courtesy of a strong team performance from visitors Pudsey St Lawrence in a six-wicket win.

Field were all out for 160, despite Karl Burkinshaw racking up 63 runs, including seven fours and five sixes.

One Stop were the ones to leapfrog Field into first with their win at Pudsey Congs and they had the form of bowler Kashif Ashraf to thank for that.

He got 5-9 as Congs were 81 all-out before One Stop lost two wickets in reaching their target.

The highest score of the division came between Halifax Seconds and Cookridge Seconds, with the former hitting 314 all-out before holding their opponents to 250-9.

Thornbury Seconds drew at Tong Park Esholt, despite racking up 246 all-out.

The hosts finished on 139-3 from 36 overs when the rain put a halt to play.

Leeds Sikh Seconds beat by four wickets after Baildon were all out for 64.

In Division C, impressive league debutants Interlink posted 114-0 in just 10.3 overs to earn another victory; this time against Rodley Thirds who could only make 111.

Shipley Providence were bowled out for 127 (Tom Walker 4-20) after being asked to bat at Salts Sports by Baildon B whose reply fell well short at 69 (Rajakrishnan Rajadurai 4-21) all out with Elangovan Balakrishnan again in the wickets with 6-14.

At Leeds Road, Morley were bowled out for 117 by St Chads Broomfield. Then opener Joshua Wilmer scored 81 in 56 balls out of their reply of 121-4 for an easy victory.

Highest score in the division went to Mayfield B who made 278-7 (Mukhtar Ahmad 93no, Wayne Broxholme 50, Chris Walsh 4-49) before castling Muff Field B for only 56 (Richard Allen 5-12, John Farr 4-39) in 20 overs.
