ONLY six games in the whole of the Dales Council Cricket League made it to completion at the weekend.

The pick of the bunch saw joint-leaders Muff Field beat the weather and Tong Park Esholt in Division B.

Home-side Muff Field scored 268-9, with Ian Slattery hitting an unbeaten 102 and Touseef Ahmed grabbing a half-century.

The hosts then bowled Tong out for 121 to go top on their own, after their former fellow leaders One Stop had their game abandoned due to rain, with visitors Cookridge Seconds sat at 37-2.

James Butterfield impressed for Baildon with 67 of his side's 147 runs.

They then bowled out Pudsey St. Lawrence for 119, despite Duncan Butler doing his best with 80 runs.

The final game in the division saw visitors Leeds Sikh Seconds beat Halifax Direct Seconds with a score of 129-3.

Pavandeep Singh got the lion's share of runs, with 93 for his team.

In the top division, all the games were abandoned due to rain, after they'd made a start.

The match between Savile Stars and visitors Woodhouse made it furthest, where the hosts were bowled out for 40 thanks to the form of Muhammad Faisal who took eight wickets.

Woodhouse were 16-2 in reply when it was stopped.

Halifax Direct were at 50-2 against Leeds Sikh when it had to be abandoned, while Cookridge had 47-2 at home to Crompark before the same happened there.

Thornbury racked up a decent 49-0 after only eight overs against Mayfield before their joy was dampened.

Finally, Bradford Moor and Leeds Caribbean stopped play after the former were 20-0.

In Division C, leaders Interlink skittled 10-man Muff Field Seconds for only 32 before they knocked off the runs in eight overs.

Second-placed Shipley Providence were bowled out for 86 at Salts Sports by Cookridge Thirds who replied with 87-5 to win for the first time in 2019.

In the only other game to be played in the division, Rodley secured a win against Baildon Seconds with a score of 66-4.
