THERE is no doubting the outstanding tie in the first round of this year’s Solly Sports Heavy Woollen Cup, with Woodlands meeting Hoylandswaine, who they beat in the finals of 2015 and 2017.

It will be the Albert Terrace side's first competitive game under the leadership of their new captain Cieran Garner and it promises to be a tough test against the Huddersfield League champions, who will be determined to avenge their previous defeats.

Holders Hanging Heaton have also been pitted against Huddersfield League opposition as they face a trip to Shelley.

New Farnley, beaten finalists last year, are at home to minnows Crossbank Methodists, while Farsley make their debut in the competition with a home game against five-time winners Wrenthorpe.
