JER Lane kept the pressure on leaders Booth in the Spenser Wilson Halifax League Premier Division.

Visitors Oxenhope's winning run came to an end as they were bowled out for 144, with only Lewis Hopkinson (42) making any real inroads against the hosts’ bowling attack, led by Amid Khan (4-48), Kieran Rodgers (3-32) and Simon Collins (3-36).

Then opener Tahir Khan's 60 runs paved the way for a five-wicket win, with Liam Dyson taking 3-68.

A similar easy victory came the way of SBCI – at home against Queensbury, who managed only 135 (Phil Sharples 35, Henry Lamper 4-27), and are now nine points adrift at the bottom.

SBCI’s ten-wicket victory hoisted them to sixth, courtesy of George Hampshire (79no) and Sam Hinchcliffe (53no).

Triangle could only manage 131 (Anthony Sykes 48) at Grassy Bottom, much below the average for the ground, as Thornton’s Bradley Weatherhead took 6-41 for visitors Thornton, with Ross Parr bagging 3-47.

Nikki Hutchinson (53no) and Greg Soames (40) ensured the 12 points went to Thornton as they lost only three wickets in overhauling the target.

The one exception to the low scoring in the First Division was in a mid-table battle at Bridgeholme in a mid-table clash with Great Horton Park Chapel on a ground that had magically recovered from partially being under water on Thursday.

The hosts posted 281-6, with Chris Kibble (100) excelling, backed up by the Fieldens – Daniel (45) and Bobby (36) – and Yasir Mahmood (32) as Adam Beesley took 3-42.

Usually that would have been a winning score but Great Horton’s Vinette Batley (88) and Beesley (77) had other ideas, contributing to the Bradford team winning by three wickets with five balls to spare, despite 3-25 from Mahmood and 3-72 from Oliver Davy-Day.

Sowerby Bridge continue to lead the table after an eight-wicket win at next-to-bottom Shelf.

The home side, who were 8-3 and 66-8, managed 104, thanks to No 9 Aamir Rashid (33) as Sam Mellor took 5-45, Darren Chapman jnr 3-47 and Jonathon Clay 2-0.

Southowram drew level on points in third place with hosts Cullingworth, who could only make 119 (Graham Rankin 31, David Jowett 4-48, Abshar Hussain 3-9), Dean Crossley (57no) seeing the visitors home.

In the Second Division, the eye-catching performance of the day came from Low Moor HT's Mark Stokes.

After analysis of 12-6-17-4 in visitors Upper Hopton's 141-7, he then scored 65 not out in Low Moor's four-wicket win.

Third-placed Clayton were involved in a high-scoring game at Outlane, with the hosts making 245 (Andrew Holding 95, Chris Brook 83, James Mitton 37), Paul Gelder (4-68) and Tanweer Aslam (4-69) doing best with the ball for the visitors.

But Clayton were equal to the task, winning by four wickets as their top six all crafted scores, led by 53 from Tim Evans.

Martin Hodgson scored 48, Evans' opening partner Paul Artist 46, Aslam 29, John Jonas 25 and Joe Brown 22.
