MOHAMMED Shafique has won the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's most prestigious award – the Leslie B Briggs Trophy, given for services to the league.
The 75-year-old, who used to play for Bradford Gymkhana and is now their nominated umpire, has been officiating in the league for 25 years.
He was presented with his trophy during the league's annual prize presentation at Nawaab Restaurant in Tong, which was attended by 120, and said: "I am very honoured and very surprised to win it."
