The halfway stage of the Bradford & District Evening League brought a third total washout of the season.

Denholme must be particularly frustrated as, apart from the abandonments, two more of their games have been cancelled due to the opposition failing to raise a side.

Yet despite this misfortune, the points gained from these concessions, along with two genuine victories, mean Denholme are top of DIVISION ONE alongside unbeaten Taurus Sports.

These two teams are due to meet tomorrow evening in what should be a fascinating encounter as they look to keep clear of third-placed Windhill, who have only been defeated by Taurus.

Low Moor are the DIVISION TWO pacesetters, with new signings having made valuable winning contributions in all four matches the team have played.

Newcomers Haworth Road have enjoyed a good start, having only lost one match - as have Wibsey Park Chapel, who seem much stronger than in previous years.

Norwood Green are a further two points behind but Sandy Lane, John Breare, Bingley Congs and Royal Mail will all need to improve on a ratio of one win and three defeats.
