Leaders West Bowling Attock successfully defended a modest total to get the better of closest West Riding Sunday Council rivals Kashmir.

Attock's 159 did not look as though it was going to be enough but Kashmir were dismissed for 145 as their opponents increased their advantage at the summit.

They are now four points clear of Kashmir, who drop to fourth place, with Paper Print and Azeems moving equal second.

Prajapati were unable to keep up the previous week's momentum as they were dismissed for just 56 in reply to Azeems' 168 all out.

Paper Print made 202 on their tiny ground at Glusburn, before Attock Sweet Centre disappointed themselves in being all out for 133 as Liaquat Hussain picked up a useful four for 24.

Goder Khan, former wicketkeeper for the defunct Kiplings side, made 55 of Harehills' 225 for eight at newcomers Skipton Kashmir, who were dismissed for 113 in response.

The match between bottom two sides Azad and Euro Windows was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to last week's heavy rain.

The weather had another effect on Council games - a shortage of umpires. A backlog of cup ties and a round of Sunday fixtures in the Bradford League meant some matches were lucky to get even one umpire.
