YORKSHIRE have not had things all their own way during the first two sessions of their three-day friendly against Leeds-Bradford MCC Universities at Headingley, despite remaining on top.
The students have reached tea at 216-7 from 72 overs, taken early due to fading light, and have lost three wickets this afternoon to Ryan Sidebottom, Jack Brooks and Karl Carver.
Opener Henry Thompson and unbeaten Logan Weston, who plays for Woodlands in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League, have both completed half-centuries.
Thompson was caught at first slip off Sidebottom for 64 and Weston will resume this evening on 66.
Brooks trapped Liam Watkinson lbw to pick up his third wicket before Carver’s second, that of Ash Gowers lbw, left the visitors at 177-7 after 61 overs.
Alex Lilley is unbeaten on 13.
