YORKSHIRE are two wickets away from a 24-point lead at the top of the LV= County Championship table after nine matches after putting Warwickshire on the ropes at Edgbaston.
The White Rose side, defending a target of 434, reduced the Bears to 217-8 at tea after they had been 103-3 at lunch.
Jack Brooks picked up two of the five wickets to fall this afternoon, while Ryan Sidebottom, Steve Patterson and James Middlebrook also struck.
Sidebottom trapped Ian Westwood lbw and Patterson had Pete McKay caught at second slip.
Middlebrook then had Rikki Clarke caught at short-leg before seamer Brooks got Jeetan Patel caught at short cover and bowled Chris Wright.
Sam Hain made it to 78 not out, with Oliver Hannon-Dalby in the early stages his innings. There are 29 overs to be bowled in the final session.
