YORKSHIRE lost four wickets during the opening afternoon of their LV= County Championship match against Durham at Emirates Durham as the hosts reached tea the happier of the two camps.
The reigning champions slipped to 152-5 in the latter stages of the afternoon, losing their latest three wickets for 28 to relinquish a position of strength at 124-2.
They will resume this evening on 175-5 after 64 overs with Jonny Bairstow on 25 and Adil Rashid 14.
Alex Lees fell for 40 early in the afternoon, caught behind off Graham Onions, before Jack Leaning was bowled by Jamie Harrison. Andrew Gale was superbly caught by Paul Collingwood one-handed running back from first slip off John Hastings, who also got compatriot Aaron Finch caught at second.
Every Yorkshire batsman to have fallen has reached double figures, although only Lees has made it beyond 30.
