There was a shock at the top of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League's Group B yesterday as leaders Apperley Bridge finally lost their unbeaten record.

Yorkshire LPS were the victors after amassing 220-8, Hiran Patel scoring 54 and Ali Ganzanfer 44 as Muhammed Yasir took 4-40 for Apperley, who were then all out for 100 , Sarthak Joshi bagging 4-15.

Second-placed Salem Athletic missed the chance to close the gap at the top as they also lost. Tariq Mahmood scored 42 in their 133 all out in which Jaskrit Sing Sami took 4-26, Gymkhana winning by four wickets.

Girlington move up to second after they defeated Allerton. Girlington made 187, with Mohammed Mayat scoring 75no. Allerton replied with 172, Shaheed Saleem doing the damage with 5-45.

Greenfield totalled 171 against Diasy Hill, Mohammed Kamran making 41 and Ibrar Hussain a late 48no.

Ian Clayton took 4-66 for Daisy and then scored 41 of their 100 all out, Mohammed Kamran claiming 5-22 and Sohain Khan 4-15.

Bowling Baptist gained a three-wicket win over Mayfield after bowlers Shazad Yousaf (4-55) and Akhtar Mahmood (4-39) restricted them to 161 all out.

In Group A, leaders Great Horton Church lost to Girlington by 101 runs. Girlington made 204-9, with Zafar Ali scoring 66, and Church were all out for 103.

Heaton are the new leaders after they defeated Bradford Gymkhana by five wickets. Mohammed Sheeraz was Gymkhana's top-scorer with 53 of their 190, but 80no from Riasat Ali and 50 from Waqas Butt saw Heaton home.

Bradford Moor are second after a six-wicket win at Omars. Asad Abbas made 50 and Masroor Ahmed took 5-17 in Omars' 156, which wasn't enough.

Salem Athletic are fourth after they defeated Cambing. A 109 partnership between Mohammed Siraj (73) and Mehr Sultan (50) was the basis for Salem's 237, and then Shakil Arshad hit 50 to go with his four wickets in the Salem innings but it was not enough as Cambing were all out for 173.

Finally in this division, Interlink beat Hallfield by seven wickets after Asif Sheikh took 4-20 to help dismiss Hallfield for 49.

In Group C, VVS Laxman now lead the way after their ten-wicket win over Bradford Indians.

Navdeep Nigam scored 80 not out in an unbroken stand of 131 with Vinesh Patel to pass the Indians' score of 129.

Great Horton Church are second, despite losing to Mandhata. Normal Gandhi scored 143no in Mandhata's 261-4 and then took 4-34 as Church were all out for 193. Kamran Dorka scored 53 for Mandhata.

Cambing had a seven-wicket win over Hallfield after dismissing them for 80, Omar Latif taking 4-11.

West Bowling finally got back to winning ways after their 44-run win over Great Horton Meths. Dominic Carter scored 71 in West Bowling's 187-6, and in Great Horton Meths' 143 all out, Anthony Moss hit 56 and Simon Russell 49, Mohammed Rafiq taking 5-61 for West Bowling.

In Group D, leaders Yorkshire LPS lost to Muff Field A. Chasing Muff Field's 134, LPS were all out for 51 as Frank Powell claimed 5-27.

Buttershaw join them level at the top after a ten-wicket win over Muff Field B in which John Anderson scored 57no.

Finally, Mayfield defeated Great Horton Meths by six wickets. Sanjeev Kulkharno scored 46 of Meths' 94, Kamran Azemi taking 5-24, and then Nigel Ramsden made an undefeated 54 for Mayfield.
