Entries are now being taken for the fifth annual ‘Bringing Communities Together’ five-a-side tournament in Bradford, with Hockney Unity All-Stars aiming to defend their title.

The event is organised by Naqshbandia Active Development Association (NADA) in partnership with the Manningham-based community group Integrating Communities Active Network (ICAN).

It takes place at the 5Alive Soccer Centre in Fairweather Green on Saturday, July 7 (2-6pm).

A total of 24 teams will be aiming to be crowned champions in a competition that uses the universal language of sport to bring people together and celebrate the diversity of contemporary Britain.

The four previous tournaments have raised around £4,000 for charity, with ‘Orphans in Need’ set to benefit from this year’s entry fees (£45 per team).
