City have been linked with a move for Craig Westcarr of League Two rivals Chesterfield as Phil Parkinson looks to add to his squad for next season.
The 27-year-old striker or winger joined the Spireites last season for around £80,000 from Notts County.
He went on to bag 11 goals for his new club, the most notable being the last-minute clincher in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final against Swindon at Wembley.
Parkinson has already bolstered his defence with the addition of Andrew Davies and Rory McArdle.
