Luke Oliver returned to the City ranks at Northampton today after serving his three-match ban.
But Jon McLaughlin had to make do with a spot on the bench as Matt Duke kept the keeper's jersey against the side where he had recently been on loan.
Oliver returned to team up with Guy Branston in the centre of defence. Lee Bullock was the unlucky man to make way.
Phil Parkinson made one other change as he looked to arrest a run of six straight away defeats. Kyel Reid returned from the start to replace Michael Flynn.
Chris Dagnall missed out with a back problem which prevented him from making the trip.
CITY: Duke, Ramsden, Oliver, Branston, Kozluk, Fagan, Ravenhill, Jones, Reid, Wells, Hanson. Subs: Flynn, Syers, Smalley, Bullock, McLaughlin.
