Considering the severity of the frost and snow in widespread areas, the majority of local clubs were lucky to escape postponements, but the Evo-Stik League was worst hit.
Both Bradford Park Avenue’s home game against promotion rivals Chorley and Farsley AFC’s short trip to Ossett Town for a Division One North derby were off due to frozen pitches.
It was not too damaging for either club’s play-off prospects, however.
It remains very much as you were for fifth-placed AVENUE – and indeed Chorley, who are fourth – in the Premier Division.
Leaders Chester and second-placed Northwich Victoria beat Marine (sixth) and FC United of Manchester (seventh) respectively.
That kept the two clubs still trailing Avenue – and there was also a surprise defeat for Hednesford Town, who lost 1-0 to Worksop Town but remained third.
FARSLEY are also in third spot, holding their place in Division One North despite having to sit Saturday out.
Leaders Curzon Ashton needed a late equaliser to rescue a draw against Witton Albion, so Farsley are now five points off the summit instead of four and the leaders are down to three games in hand.
