Farsley should have new goalkeeper Antonio Pecora making his debut when they travel to Bamber Bridge on Saturday looking for their first win in six outings.

Following a 6-0 home victory over Salford City on the first day of the month, Farsley have endured a poor October.

Neil Parsley’s men have dropped to seventh in Evo-Stik Division One North after taking just one point from their last two league fixtures. Their other three games this month have been cup ties, so there has not been too much damage to their play-off chances.

Parsley said: “Antonio has joined us because our first-choice keeper Tom Morgan has a shoulder injury that will keep him sidelined probably until January.

“He is a very good keeper and would have played against Curzon Ashton last week if we had signed him in time.

“We tried to get the paperwork done before the deadline but just missed it and the FA rules are such that he was also unavailable for Monday’s replay at Curzon.”

The pair have worked together before as Pecora, who was signed from Goole, was North Ferriby United’s first-choice keeper when Parsley was in charge almost four years ago.

Striker Adam Muller has also come to Throstle Nest on an initial one-month loan from Worksop Town.

Bradford-born Muller, who has enjoyed spells with Thackley and Guiseley, began his stint at Farsley well by scoring their first goal in the 2-2 draw with Curzon last Saturday.

Farsley lost the replay in midweek 2-0 despite a decent performance so are hungry to taste victory again.
