Liversedge will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s Northern Counties East League Premier Division derby defeat at Brighouse Town when they return to Clayborn on Saturday.

Sedge host Winterton Rangers, the side immediately above them, but home comforts have been few and far between for them of late.

The only points they have picked up this month have been from two away draws and their last home win in the league was a 2-1 victory on September 17.

However, they will be buoyed by last week’s performance against Town, which saw them lead for much of the game before conceding three late goals in a 4-2 defeat.

Sixth-placed Brighouse journey to Barton Town Old Boys with no fresh injury concerns. Their hosts are struggling in the lower reaches with a poor return of one point per game.

Thackley are also on the road as they travel to second-from-bottom Pickering Town. Despite last Saturday’s derby defeat at Eccleshill United in the FA Vase, the Dennyboys are on a seven-game unbeaten run in the league which includes five victories.

In Division One, Eccleshill United look to re-establish their push for promotion at home to Teversal, who will have their tails up after their win at leaders Handsworth in midweek.

The Eagles are above their opponents on goal difference only but now have three games in hand.

Albion Sports moved to joint second following their 3-0 win on Wednesday and will hope to make the most of a rare Saturday home game. It promises to be a cracker as Worksop Parramore, the club above them on goal difference, are the visitors to Horsfall Stadium.

Albion will be without Alex Cusack and Aaron Heywood, who were both on the scoresheet in their 3-0 midweek win over struggling Hallam.
