Albion Sports opened their pre-season fixtures with a 4-2 home win over Otley Town at Horsfall Stadium tonight as Jordan Missin bagged himself a hat-trick for the non-league newcomers.

Missin started the scoring with a penalty and added a second from open play before Otley pegged one back. After the break, Missin was on target again and former Bradford City player Joe Brown also netted.

Tomorrow night’s clash between Brighouse Town and Farsley AFC at Town’s Dual Seal Stadium may only be a pre-season friendly but it is an important game for both local rivals.

Town boss Mick Couzens only took over during the close season and this will be his first real match following Saturday’s opening friendly, which was an in-house game featuring the squad he inherited and the new players he has brought in.

Farsley had a friendly against Brendan Ormsby’s Pontefract Collieries at the weekend, so this will be their second run out. However, manager Neil Parsley has made it clear to his squad and the players on trial that it is decision time on who stays.
