Eccleshill United nullified the threat of Liversedge in their last Bradford derby a fortnight back and they are preparing for another stern test as nearest neighbours Thackley make the two-mile journey to Plumpton Park.

United boss Steve Watson said: "Their manager John Boyle and I go back a long way.

"I have a lot of respect for him and what he has achieved but we want to beat them to prove we are still improving.

"We are confident after the results we have had over the past couple of weeks but we can't get ahead of ourselves. Thackley are a very good side and our lads will have to be up for it to get a decent result."

The visiting team's chief is disappointed with the start his charges have made but he will be back in the dug-out at Plumpton Park.

Boyle has not been available for the last three games.

"It will be my comeback tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it," said Boyle.

"After the start we have had I'm just looking for a positive result. The fact that it is a local derby is not top of my priority list. They are the form team so it will be hard for us - it doesn't matter where they come from.

"It will add to the drama but we cannot afford to get sidetracked. We need to start winning and this is the first of three very difficult fixtures on the bounce."

It speaks volumes for the area that it can sustain three clubs of such quality in the Northern Counties East Premier Division.
