Jake Speight is the latest player to find himself surplus to requirements at City.
The striker today completed a move to Wrexham, becoming the 11th man to leave since the end of the season.
Speight has joined the Blue Square Bet Premier side for an undisclosed fee, even though City stumped up £25,000 for his services less than a year ago.
Boss Peter Jackson made it clear all City’s contracted players were available after a disappointing League Two campaign and Speight is the first of them to fall victim to the cull, despite having a year left on his existing contract.
The 25-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Wrexham, who missed out on promotion to League Two following defeat to Luton in the play-off semi-finals.
"He is strong, quick and hungry and is another piece in the jigsaw of what we are trying to achieve here,” said Wrexham boss Dean Saunders.
