Shad Royston has risen to the top of the class after making his mark on back-to-back wins for the Bulls.
Forced to negotiate a steep learning curve since arriving in Super League, the Aussie has been given a thumbs up by master and teacher Mick Potter.
The Bulls boss has been pleased with Royston’s progress during his first season in first grade.
Initially, the 28-year-old struggled following a winter switch from Halifax but has come of age in recent weeks.
“Shad’s learning all the time,” said Potter.
“It’s different playing in the top division. It’s a lot more demanding defensively rather than in attack. His attack has always been good but positionally he is learning and getting better. I’m very happy with the way he’s going.”
