City have allowed Kevin Ellison to go back to Rotherham.
The winger was signed on loan by Peter Taylor in February until the end of the season.
But Ellison, who is out of contract in the summer, has been hampered by a thigh injury which he suffered at the end of March and has missed the last nine games.
He made seven appearances for City, six of them starts, and scored the winner against Wycombe on his debut.
