Bradford Park Avenue 3, Burscough 1 Bradford Park Avenue boosted their hopes of an Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off spot by getting back to winning ways tonight.
They took the lead midway through the first half when Tom Greaves cut inside from the right flank and drilled a shot that took a deflection on its way in.
Burscough equalised after a long clearance gave Carl Garner the opportunity to get behind the Bradford defence and Ashley Higgins converted his cross.
A one-sided second half saw Avenue in full control. The home side got back in front following a corner delivered by skipper Rob O’Brien just after the hour.
He delivered a low centre that was half-cleared, but only as far as Matty James, and he netted a well-placed shot.
The final goal came late on when Aiden Savory got on the end of a long clearance and found Greaves, who forced the ball over the line to score his 17th goal of the season.
