West Bowling coach Ricky Helliwell conceded his men had been beaten by a better side as they bowed out of the BARLA National Cup at Seaton Rangers.
A 32-14 defeat ended Bowling’s hopes at the third-round stage and although there were extenuating circumstances, Helliwell refused to look for excuses.
“We had four lads pull out on Friday but that would not have affected the result in any way,” he said.
“Damian Smith crossed twice, alongside Joe Simpson, but Seaton proved to be a very good outfit and we were outplayed on the day.”
